A collection of my poems will be posted here, spanning from about 2020 until the present. Some of these stories are dark and heavy, some are light to the point of blindness. My work’s intent is not to reflect every part of me to the outside world. Some of my poems have elements of biography in them. Others do not. There are a million different stories in my head, mixing and melding with my memories at will, and when I write them down I am not at liberty to say which is which. Therefore, take my poetry as what it is. Do not gaze at it with any lenses of pretense. Each poem is its own world, self-contained, connected by a thread that only exists within my subconscious that even I am not wholly aware of. My greatest fear is to be misunderstood. Please do not make that fear a reality.
Love,
Isabella Joy Quesada-Miller
